PhD onderzoeker/Promovenda
As a PhD Researcher at the University of Amsterdam, I investigate the nuanced interplay between energy transition and urban renovation, with a focus on the role of recognition within these dynamics. I have a master's degree in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where I graduated cum laude in 2021.
My research is part of the major NWO project Just Prepare, which aims to achieve a just energy transition in underprivileged neighbourhoods across the Netherlands. I examine the renovation projects of urban dwellings in major cities, critically analyzing the engagement among residents, housing corporations, municipalities, and other stakeholders. I apply analytical and problem-solving skills to explore the empirical manifestations of mis/non-recognition and how recognition, as a process for transformation, can inform co-designed interventions in renovation projects for a more just energy transition.
I welcome connections with fellow researchers and professionals interested in energy transition, urban development, and the complexities of recognition in contemporary political science. Let's connect!
